I would like to take this opportunity to recognize my granddaughter Alana Johnson for her hard work. Alana is the daughter of proud parents, Bobbie Johnson and Carlos DeLaRosa and little sister Alexandra. Her grandparents are Robert and Arlene Johnson.
Alana loves the Lord and her church, where she accepted Jesus Christ into her life at the age of seven and is also a member of Simon Temple AME Zion Church. Alana is 10 years old and a 5thgrade student at Ponderosa Elementary School. She has maintained an A average during the current school year and is on the Principal’s A Honor Roll, not only this year, but has been throughout her school career.
In January of this year she was Ponderosa’s fifth grade spelling bee winner and went on to represent her school in the district spelling bee. She is conscientious and meticulous when it comes to her school assignments.
Alana is a creative person and enjoys fencing, basketball, board games, cooking, and loves dogs. She is also an astute artist. Alana is learning to play the guitar virtually and is also learning Spanish and Polynesian languages. She is an advent history buff, like her grandma, and loves to learn about the world. One thing she especially loves is spending time with her 2 year old baby sister. Alana is a tremendous help to her parents and role model for her sister.
She is a loving, caring, compassionate, and thoughtful young lady; who will, by the grace of God, do great things in her future. Alana, we are proud of you and love you very much.
